A Few Thoughts on Ad Impressions & Click-Thrus:
What is an Ad Impression? An Ad Impression occurs when your business (name/logo) is accessed through our server and presented on someone's computer screen/monitor.
What about the monthly directory/values brochure? The # of Ad Impressions does not take into account your visibility in the monthly directory/values brochure.
Ad impressions vs. Click-Thrus: which is more important? A good question, with a logical answer. Due to the format and design of www.myjoecard.com, your Ad Impressions include your relevant promotional information most of the time. Oftentimes, a click-thru is not necessary. A good example:
- Someone sees the 'save $5 on the V.I.P. Car Wash package' promotion listed for V.I.P. Car Wash. Often, no click-thru is necessary because they have all of the information they need in order to act.
So exactly what does that traffic number mean? If the internet traffic report shows that you had 5,650 Ad Impressions last month - it doesn't mean that all 5,650 times that your information appeared on the page that the visitor focused their eyeballs on your logo and carefully read your offer/promotion/info; a good amount were sure to have 'taken in' your information.
High traffic numbers vs. Low traffic numbers: it is accurate to say that those businesses that participate more in the MyJoeCard program receive much stronger traffic and response from consumers.
