Introducing "The True 100% Fundraiser"™
Fundraiser Safety Tips:
In sponsoring fundraising for any schools or organizations, we strongly emphasize that children should not be allowed to sell door-to-door unless directly supervised by a parent or adult.
Your children’s safety while fundraising is an absolute priority. Students should not sell to strangers, or go out selling door-to-door.
MyJoeCard.Com’s Do’s & Do Not’s for Fundraising Safety:
-
Work from your “Top 20” list of friends, family, relatives, and neighbors to contact for initial sales.
-
Parental involvement is important for fundraising activities - parents are a great resource!
-
Use the buddy system - don't sell alone.
-
Be smart, think safety first. Don’t talk to strangers.
-
Show your parents your intended “Top 20” list that you plan to ask to support your cause. Chances are your parents will be able to add many good names to your list!
-
Ask your parents for their help! Have them take MyJoeCards to sell at their workplace.
-
Use the phone! Call your “TOP 20” list to ask their support for your cause!
-
Handle proceeds with care! Never allow children to carry collected money unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
-
Make Hay while the sun is shining! Sell during daylight hours. Do not sell after dark.
-
Have a back up. Let someone know where you are going, and when you will return.
-
Carry a cell phone for emergencies.
-
Don’t Be A Target! Do not carry large amounts of cash. The pizza delivery guy doesn’t carry much cash, neither should you.
By following these guidelines, and using your common sense, you should be safely on your way to achieving your fundraising goals!
